I'm not going crazy

I had a chance to ride all-out last night. Mountain bike, off road. Trouble is, I put a lot of stuff into an old seat bag and it broke! Stuff was dumped out all over the trail for more than a mile before I figured it out. My wallet was in there with the car keys, an expensive multi-tool, tire irons, spoke wrench, pressure gauge, allen wrench and who knows what else.
I was feeling slow before that but seemed to be able to keep up with the faster riders until I had to go slow and go back. Once I found my wallet, car keys and the expensive multi-tool I continued on with the ride. My Heart Rate was in the 70 to 90 % range with an average of 148 beats per minute.

Total time in the 135 - 161 range: 90 minutes!

I know. Who cares? I enjoy the riding and for the first time since my HR has gone so high, I just rode, not worrying about how fast my heart was beating. 162 max is over 90% of my theoretical Maximum Heart Rate!

My reward for working so hard last night came early this morning.

Friday

Well, it's Friday and I've not ridden my bike at all this week. Maybe that's why I'm feeling so jittery.

Random Thoughts

Last night's presentation went pretty well except for a couple of places where I failed to explain that you didn't need to know the technical terms. I'm president of a local computer user group and my topic last night was "Hyper-Threading technology with the Intel Pentium 4 Processor". The title alone must have scared off some people. It was a good learning experience though. I'll do better next time.

I hope this blog will be a good learning experience too.

Start slow, keep going.

What is a Blog anyway?

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with my own blog so I've set one up.

Go figure.
