Sometimes I feel like a Nut, Sometimes I ...

Do you know what the next word is? Don't think about it, just think about WHY you know what the next word is. Is it because you read my mind? Can't be. I'm not thinking about it as you read this. Is it because of the connection previously made between you and I? Perhaps, but what about the person reading this message who has no idea who I am AND knows what the next word is? Hmmm

How do we communicate more than just the words and thoughts we use?

Maybe it is as simple as a candy bar. (Ok, TWO candy bars in this case). Shared experience is my point. Even if you never saw the original commercials for the candy you may have heard the thought before. The words here are not even the same as in the lyrics. Books, movies, television shows, etc all may have similar impact. Perhaps.

What I don't get is why one person knows while the next person has no idea. Is it simply a question of paying attention? or missing the connection to a "shared thought"?
